Reconnect to Your Breath

The breath that calms your anxiety won’t help much when you’re exhausted or numb

A lot of people use the same one for everything.
Nobody told them there’s a difference.

After three weeks, you’ll know how to help yourself when things get too much,

with practices you’ve already tried in your own body.

“ Messages from previous groups

My mind had moved on, but my body hadn’t. Through these techniques, I began to release what was still stored there.

Alina

I went from tense and withdrawn to feeling calm, open, and naturally connected with people.

Michele

My life is all about functioning. During the exercises… I feel myself for a brief moment.

Where you are now

Why relaxing doesn’t always work

When you’re tired and can’t get going, trying to relax usually makes it worse. You need a bit of energy first. When you’re anxious, your body is already full of adrenaline and cortisol. Slow breathing helps, but it works better if you move first. Shake, make some sound. Animals shake after danger. We go straight from stress to the sofa and then wonder why we can’t switch off.

Under stress, the body usually goes into one of three states. Each one needs something different first.

Fight or FlightAnxious, racing.Move or shake first, then slow your breath.
FreezeTired, but you can’t switch off.Small, gentle practices first, then rest.
CollapseFlat, foggy, no energy.Wake your body up a little first, then calm down.

In the course you learn to tell which one you’re in, and what to do first.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You can’t relax in the evening, and you wake up already tired.
  • You notice the tension only when it’s already too much.
  • You keep going on low energy, because you don’t know what else to do.

Nobody teaches us what to do in these moments. That’s what this course is for.

The method

Six sessions, 90 minutes each

Each session has one focus. We do fewer techniques and spend more time practicing and talking about what you noticed. The goal is that you leave with a few practices you really know and use.

The essentials

  • 6 live sessions on Zoom, 90 minutes each

1

Thursday · 22 October · 19:00 Romania

What’s going on in your body

You notice how you breathe right now. You try fast breathing and slow breathing and feel how each one changes your state in about a minute. You learn the three survival states, fight or flight, freeze and collapse, what each one feels like and how to tell which one you’re in. You go home with one breath you can use the same night.

2

Monday · 26 October · 19:00 Romania

When you’re exhausted

For days when you feel heavy and can’t get going. You practice Breath of Fire and cyclical hyperventilation (a short, controlled activating breath), in short rounds, at your own pace. Right after, you do a calming breath, so you feel your body wake up and then settle. You learn why trying to relax when you’re this tired often makes you feel heavier.

3

Thursday · 29 October · 19:00 Romania

When you’re anxious

For when your heart is racing and your mind won’t stop. First you shake and use sound, so your body can let out some of the tension. Then you calm down with the physiological sigh and pursed-lips breathing.

4

Monday · 2 November · 19:00 Romania

When you’ve gone numb

For when you feel numb or disconnected, or tired but unable to switch off. You practice the Rosenberg exercise, humming, the Voo sound and rocking. You learn about co-regulation: why your body calms down more easily when you’re not alone. We finish with 4-2-6-2 breathing.

5

Thursday · 5 November · 19:00 Romania

Going deeper

A full guided session of connected breathing. We prepare together before, and after there’s time to talk about what came up. You choose your own pace, and you can slow down or stop at any time.

6

Monday · 9 November · 19:00 Romania

Your own practice

You put together a 5-minute daily practice from what worked for you: arrive, check in, choose a practice, close. We do it together once, so you know how it feels.

What you take home

By the end of the three weeks

  • When you’re anxious, you know what to do first, and it helps.
  • When you wake up already tired, there’s a practice that gets you going without pushing yourself.
  • When you can’t switch off in the evening, you can help yourself rest.
  • When you feel numb and can’t feel much, you can feel your body again.
  • You notice the tension earlier, before it’s too much.
  • You have a 5-minute daily practice, made from what worked for you.
  • You have recordings of every session to go back to.

If you’re hesitating

What you might be thinking right now

I’ve tried breathing exercises and meditation. It didn’t really work for me.

That’s often why people come. A breath that helps when you’re tense can do nothing when you’re exhausted.

Here you try several, see what each one does for you, and keep what works.

I don’t even have the energy for this.

That makes sense.

One whole session is about what helps when you’re exhausted, and nothing in it asks you to push harder. If you can’t join live, every session is recorded.

I don’t want to be seen on camera or share personal things in a group.

Almost everyone feels this before the first session.

Sharing is always your choice. You can take part fully without saying anything personal, and you go at your own pace.

C
I was anxious to join and to be seen on screen, but Jani created such a sense of safety and calm that I found myself relaxing and even speaking during the sessions.Chloe, previous group

Is breathwork safe for me?

Some breathwork practices aren’t right for everyone, and a good guide should say so.

I’m a psychologist and SE practitioner. Every practice comes with options, you can pause or stop at any time, and if you have a health condition you can talk to me before joining.

Dear Jani,

I signed up for the workshop because I feel like I am not connected to myself (maybe I never was). My life is all about functioning. During the exercises, I noticed that certain feelings pop up, tears come, and I feel myself for a brief moment. Thank you very much for that.

Your sensitive, mindful, and loving nature created a safe space where everyone could be themselves.

With love and gratitude,
Beata

In the last year I’ve come to understand how much everything in me revolves around safety. In this class, I not only experienced it, I learned how to create it.
The change was real: I went from tense and withdrawn to feeling calm, open, and naturally connected with people.
It’s like my life shifted just because I learned how to inhale and exhale. Wow

“If you’re looking for a breathwork course, honestly, this is the one. Your body will thank you. Jani’s breathwork course in November was exactly what I needed. I now feel confident recognising what breathwork my body is calling for in the moment, and Jani’s way of explaining the nervous system makes everything feel so understandable and practical. Each session had real purpose, not just information, but tools I can use daily to support myself.”

Warmly,
Geri

I initially joined this course to deepen the breathing techniques I already knew. What I didn’t expect was how much we would work with nervous system regulation.
They helped me see that, despite considering myself emotionally stable, there were still emotions my body hadn’t processed. My mind had moved on, but my body hadn’t.

Dear Jani!

It came exactly when I needed and after signing in, I also booked some other things to start walking in a new direction. A direction giving more to myself. To care more for me, because I realized no one else will do that for me. Your class was my starting point.

Thank you and lots of love,
Melanie

About Jani

Jani Weizman
PsychologistSE practitionerPsychotherapistBreathwork facilitator

I’m Jani Weizman, a psychologist, psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. I’ve been guiding breathwork groups for 8 years, and more than 400,000 people follow my work on Instagram, where I talk about the nervous system, trauma and the body.

I came to breathwork because my own body was stuck in survival mode for years. I understood everything in my head, and nothing changed in my body. Breath was the first thing that shifted my state in real time. Learning how the nervous system works did the rest. I stopped fighting my reactions and started working with them.

That’s how I teach. First you understand what’s happening in your body, then you choose what helps. Every practice comes with options, and I slow things down whenever someone needs it.

Questions

Do I need experience with breathwork?
No. I guide every practice.
Do I have to share personal things?
No. Sharing is always your choice.
What if I can’t join live?
Every session is recorded, so you can watch it later. Some past participants did the whole course from the recordings.
What if a practice doesn’t feel right for me?
You can pause or stop any practice. You can also step away from the session whenever you need to.
Is the course suitable for everyone?
Some breathwork practices aren’t suitable for everyone. Breathwork may not be right for you if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, serious heart or neurological conditions, or certain psychiatric diagnoses. Breath of Fire isn’t recommended during menstruation, so on that day I’ll give you a gentler option. If you’re not sure, talk to your doctor and write to me before joining.
How much does it cost?
€295 (about $335 USD). You pay in euros, and your bank converts it automatically.
What is the refund policy?
Because the group is small and places can’t be refilled, there’s no refund once the course has started. If you can’t continue, you can move your place to the next round. Your legal right of withdrawal is explained in the Terms.
